WHAT WE NEED IN REGARDS TO SALES AND MARKETING:
We are looking for someone with the following attributes and skill-sets to join our team:
Friendly and motivated sales and marketing professional that is at the top of his/her game. We want only those to apply that feel they can become a leader within our organization and drive a broad array of our sales and marketing efforts.
This is a newly created position and our first approach at attaining a sales and marketing professional for this portion of our business. We currently do a minimal amount of sales and marketing activities. All of our current efforts are done by ownership and we can no longer make gains due to these limited efforts.
There will be some travel required. This will be dependent upon how the sales and marketing program is set-up. Much of our sales and marketing efforts can be conducted via technology (telephone and email).
Candidate needs to have experience within our marketplaces and have some familiarity with the metal fabrication industry.
This is not a typical "salesman" position. This position requires the ability to self-manage most sales and marketing efforts to get our company to the next level.
Effectively communicate to ownership plans regarding the direction of sales and marketing efforts.
Help determine the best directions needed to achieve our sales goals.
Marketing via telephone, publications and face to face
After learning our marketplace, develop a sales and marketing strategy that best fits our budget and goals
Be creative and take the lead on attacking the "difficult things" that will separate our company from the competition.
Take on all website and publication responsibilities. Reviewing and critiquing our current materials and adopting an approach to meet our goals.
Researching new marketplaces and investigate any new opportunities for best fit into our company.
Lead all efforts to identify new prospects. Devise a plan to make contact, express value of our services and strive for a sale.
A team player. We are a smaller company that relies heavily upon each individual employee. Each individual employee needs to possess the ability to work together as a team. Our sales and marketing efforts need to be driven by a leader that has exceptional communication skills and the desire to bring people together to tackle projects. This person would be responsible for communicating all the customer's needs to our project management personnel that would in turn be responsible for the manufacturing of such projects.
Candidates should posses average computer skills and be familiar with using a variety of software programs.
This is a part-time position requiring 20-30 hours per week. Some travel required. Once the right candidate is found and hired, candidate and ownership would work together to determine best win/win in regards to a work schedule. Since this will be a new position, there will need to be some time allowed for adjustments to define the best path forward for both the candidate and ownership. Ownership will work with candidate to ensure we produce a positive scenario for both parties.

Compensation, benefits and everything else we can offer will be discussed during the interview. We will offer compensation as commission to start, and salary plus commission when a track record is built. If we find an exceptional candidate and they prove that they can perform, it is in the company's best interest to retain them and keep them happy.
