Responsible for identifying and attaining new clients for BNV Designs event department, the Special Events Account Executive has a proven reputation for event sales. They will attain clients for three departments that specifically correlate to weddings, corporations and private persons. Event types include, but are not limited to, corporate parties, galas, premiere parties, launch parties weddings, birthdays, conferences, etc. In addition to contracting new business, the Account Executive must be able to maintain the established customer base, as well as, meet their personal sales goal through new business. This position does not require event knowledge, nor will it be responsible for coordinating the events, unless desired. Responsibilities: • Promote and market BNV Designs to a variety of clients • Seek out and contract events that will have a positive financial impact for BNV Designs • Develop, update and maintain sales contact lists • Identify, represent and promote BNV Designs within various key industries and trade shows • Must possess a strong ability to negotiate • Ask probing questions to uncover any expectations that the potential client may have ahead of time • Throughout the sales process, work with the events designer and coordinator to ensure all the details about the clients needs are accurate • Ensure that the client is aware of all policies during the negotiation process; including any requirements by state and local governing authorities • Prepare comprehensive proposals and detailed contracts • Perform formal hand-off procedure to the Event Designer and Coordinator upon contract execution • Attend the event and meet client during their event as often as possible and follow-up by phone within 48 hours after their event for feedback • Represent BNV Designs appropriately, in a professional manner at all times, in attire and attitude • Meet or exceed personal sales goals and meet with CEO intentionally once a month to go over performance • Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university • 1 to 3 years of sales experience in a related industry is preferred • Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing • Basic computer skills • MS and Apple software knowledge is a mustMust have the ability to analyze current market trends, research appropriate business opportunities and follow through on leads • Must possess the ability to set and revise goals as the market situation changes Must have a positive attitude at all times in the work place • Requires organizational skills and the ability to perform in a fast paced environment • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary
