Title: Residential Account Executive Location: 7101 Riverwood Drive, Columbia, Maryland 21046 Duration: 3 months contract to hire Payrate: $12.50/hr Face to Face interviews will happen on Sep 6th (Wed) and Sep 7th (Thu). All submitted candidates should be available to attend these interviews. Primary Responsibilities: Generate sales by working an assigned territory selling natural gas, electricity and other added value services such as home warranty and connected home products. Use the Direct Energys sales flow process to ensure high customer satisfaction; increase customers awareness of energy choice Represent the company professionally and ensure that potential customers have an outstanding experience Maintain consistent performance against sales targets and customer retention targets on a weekly and monthly basis Qualifications: Reside in locations within the Columbia, Maryland area Preferred College Degree 5 years in retail or similar industry with proven abilities to perform up to a management level Understanding of utility ISO/Regulatory requirements and retail process is a Plus Knowledge and Understanding of the retailer billed energy business and the impacts of the market rules and changes is a PLUS Self-motivated and team oriented is a required attribute. Excellent communication skills with presentation skills is required Ability to work in a fast paced environment is required Ability to think outside the box, and resolve various issues is required. Ability to manage multiple activities and meet deadlines is required. Strong interpersonal skills and the aptitude for conflict resolution with previous negotiating experience. Schedule / Shift Hours / Schedule set by Sales Manager main field hours are between --...pm Daily mandatory sales meetings/trainings held by Sales Manager at local office. Training Classroom Training takes place the first ten days. Training consists of 2 week classroom training (in Columbia, MD expenses paid by DER) with Sales trainer in formal setting. The following 2-8 weeks are spent in the field on your own and assistance from your manager and Team Leader. Ride-alongs, individually focused training, process and sales data training are all provided in the 2-8 week span to cover all other necessary items particular to their job function and expectation. Will have opportunities to sell during the training period. Compensation Base Salary = $25,000 UNCAPPED Commission Minimally successful Consultants are expected to earn up to $50,000 running an average of 18 sales/wk; top Sales Reps (>40 sales /wk) see earning potential of over $75K annually. Very aggressive commission structure Opportunity to make $850-3900... in mthly. bonuses based on # of products sold Commission included added values sales like our connected home and warranty plans Minimally successful Consultants are expected to earn up to $100,000 running an average of 3 sales visits/wk; top Sales Reps (10 visits/wk) see earning a potential of over $150K annually. During 5-month ramp up, receive a training stipend (to augment base while building sales pipeline) of $800 every two weeks ($1,600/month); not a draw; dont have to pay back Bonus Opportunity $250-2000... in monthly bonuses based on # of closed deals. $700 additional flat rate bonus on top of commission for every self-generated or referral sale Commission averages 2.5% of sales revenue (between 1% and 4%)
