Business address: 304-162 Cumberland St, Toronto, ON M5R 3N5 Work Location: 127A-171 East Liberty St, Toronto, ON M6K 3P6 (Aloette) Type of Employment: Full time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: Operate cash register Process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments Scan items Tabulate total payment for goods or services required Receive payment for goods or services Calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales Suggestive selling Stock shelves and clean counter area Greet customers Accept reservations or take-out orders Wrap or place merchandise in bags Weigh produce and bulk foods Provide customer service Calculate foreign currency exchange Monitor all entrances and exits, request proof of payment when necessary Participate in promotional activities Verify the age of customers when selling alcohol or tobacco products Requirements: - Education: Completion of high school is required. - Experience: A minimum of 7 months of experience are required. -Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, Physically demanding, Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Work under pressure, Attention to detail -Personal suitability: Flexibility, Team player, Reliability, Dependability, Organized, Initiative, Client focus, Flexibility - Computer and technology knowledge: Knowledge of Electronic cash register, Interac machine, Price scanner, Computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering system is a strong asset. - Work setting: Restaurant -Language: English is required.
